TTS

Use System Voices or Kokoro Local for text-to-speech in KairoDock. No extra TTS account required.

Choose a voice

  • Use System Voices for the voices already available on your Windows PC.
  • Use Kokoro Local when you want local Kokoro voices in KairoDock.
  • Run a TTS test before going live so you know the selected voice is working.

Stream audio

  • KairoDock.exe plays alert sounds and TTS.
  • Chat Overlay and Alert Overlay links are visual-only in normal beta setup.
  • If you want alert sounds or TTS on stream, capture KairoDock.exe as an application audio source in your streaming software.
  • If audio sounds doubled, your streaming software may be capturing both Desktop Audio and KairoDock.exe.
  • If you capture KairoDock.exe directly, you usually do not also need Desktop Audio capturing the same sound.

If TTS behaves oddly

  • Use the stop control before sending another test.
  • Confirm the event you expect to speak is enabled in KairoDock.
  • Share what was queued, what played, and any recent KairoDock error in Discord support.
